Where Your Procedure May Be Performed

The accrediting organizations verify that national standards are met and maintained in such categories as the operating room environment, policies and procedures, safety, equipment, and handling of blood and medications. They also check to make sure the doctor has hospital privileges so that you can be admitted to the hospital in case of emergency.

Where To Have Your Surgery
The doctors and staff of The Metropolitan Institute for Plastic Surgery perform surgery at three of the region's premier medical facilities. They will work with you to determine the safest, most convenient place for your surgery to take place. Surgeries that do not require an overnight stay will be performed at the Center for Ambulatory Surgery, Inc. (CASI) or at the Washington Hospital Center or Sibley Memorial Hospital. Surgeries requiring an overnight stay are performed at the Washington Hospital Center or Sibley Memorial Hospital.

The Washington Hospital Center is the largest private hospital in the Washington DC area. In 2004, U.S News and World Report named the Hospital Center one of the best hospitals nationwide for heart surgery and treatment of hormonal disorders. Sibley Memorial Hospital is a fully accredited, non-profit, full-service acute care community hospital that has served the Washington, DC area for over 100 years. The Center for Ambulatory Surgery, Inc.
